Pre-Wedding Shoot: Charlotte & Michael
A couple of weekends ago I met up with the lovely Charlotte and Michael who recently booked me to photograph their wedding for them. Their booking was a little last minute and so unusually the pre wedding shoot was the only chance we got to get to spend together before the big day. We spent a few hours together getting to know one another so that I’m not a stranger on the day, we also went through the plan for the day so that I know where I need to be and when. That’s hungry work so we went for a leisurely bite to eat in the local, leaving just enough time for a quick pre-wedding shoot in the beautiful gardens of Wortley Hall.
I am really looking forward to the big day!

Wedding: Kate & Mark – Losehill House Hotel
I’ve been a little slow to post wedding images lately due to the busy wedding season and relocating my wedding photography business to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. Back in April I was honoured to photograph the wedding of Kate & Mark. The ceremony was at the Church of St Nicolas in Bradfield with the reception at the excellent Losehill House Hotel. The Losehill is a spectacular venue, nestled in a beautiful valley in the High Peak hidden down a leafy lane. Kate & Mark had exclusive use of the hotel which made the day a really intimate family affair. Although the wedding was in April the weather was absolutely gorgeous & it felt like the middle of summer. Here are some of my favourite images of the day.

Pre wedding shoot: Louise & Richard
I met with Louise & Richard for their pre-wedding shoot at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield a few weeks ago, and shared the images with them at the weekend. I’m delighted that they loved them. Here’s a link to a video of those images….

Winter Wedding shoot
Earlier this week, I was privileged to spend a day with the immensely talented photographer Brett Harkness. Brett is one of the best wedding photographers in the UK, and I was delighted to spend a full day learning about how he and his wife Kristie tackle the lack of daylight (and bad weather) issues that many photographers struggle with during the winter months.
