Review of 2011 – Favourite images of the year
For many people it’s kind of traditional to look back on the past year, for me it’s a great time to look back through all of the photography sessions of 2011 and pick out my favourite images. I tasked myself with picking my top 30 from everything I’ve done in 12 months….quite a tough challenge but I managed to narrow it down.
So (in the words of Dermot O’Leary) in no particular order here are my top 30 images of 2011.
Wedding Photography
Above: Emily and “Fred”s wedding at Notley Abbey was great fun especially when the best man revealed that he had unearthed photographic evidence of “Fred”s brief modelling career.

Above: The top two images are from a Bridal Fashion shoot at The Met, Leeds, bottom left Karen & Tom’s wedding at The Westmead Hotel, Hopwood and bottom left Rachael & Brett’s wedding at Crathorne Hall Hotel, Yarm

Above: Jude & Saul kiss in their beloved Bongo camper van, Rachael’s shoes at Crathorne Hall Hotel, Yarm, Louise gets a kiss from her Dad as she arrives at church to marry Dominic, and Heather & Richard in the grounds of Selly Manor, Bournville.
Family, Fashion and Party Photography
Below are some of my favourite family and party photographs of 2011 with a couple of pre-wedding photographs for good measure!

Below are a couple of business portraits from last year.

Boudoir photography
Boudoir photography is huge in the US and (probably thanks in no small part to Gok Wan) is a growing market in the UK. Here are a few favourites of mine from 2011. Head over to jcboudoir.co.uk if you’d like to see more.
Thanks go out to the ladies who have given their written permission to share these images with you.

Which is YOUR favourite?
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking through these as much as I have putting them together..I’d love for you to leave a comment below telling me which is your favourite & why.

Baby portrait: Lucy
Those of you who follow my blog will know that I recently moved my portrait photography business to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire; one of the reasons was because my extended family is expanding. I was delighted to have the opportunity to photograph newborn baby Lucy when she was just 6 days old. Here are some of my favourite images from the session.

If you would like photographs of your newborn baby please call the studio on 01926 27 11 28

My apologies for not posting for soooooo long, but the last 3 months have been a very exciting time for me and the rest of the family. We’ve moved from Yorkshire to Warwickshire where I grew up as a child. Now the boxes are unpacked, new suppliers have been found and it’s back to business as usual.
To celebrate John Cleary Photography arriving in Leamington Spa, we have a very special introductory offer on lifestyle portraits!

Call the studio on 01926 27 11 28 now to book your half price session.
Portrait training session
As part of my commitment to providing the very best photography to my clients, I’ve invested in photographic training with Annabel Williams. The last session was focussed on portrait photography. During the session we visited a hotel in the Lakes and, after a masterclass from two established and highly regarded photographers, we were given our ‘own’ models to photograph.
Here are my favourite images from that session.

Family Portrait: Nigel, Andrea, James & Thomas
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing some great friends. I’m not totally convinced they were all looking forward to being in front of the camera (although Thomas obviously was!) but we had a laugh! I got some great images, hope you agree……
