There’s a saying in the acting profession ‘Never work with animals or children’. In my line of work it’s something you can’t avoid; however photographing children and babies is quite different to getting them to act. Instead of trying to get them to do something that they wouldn’t normally do, I’m capturing them being themselves which takes time & patience.

My shoots aren’t like those where you have to venture to a studio for an hour long appointment. I take time to make sure that everyone’s comfortable and relaxed before we start taking pictures. Once the camera comes out, the shoot can often last for a couple of hours. Investing that time gives great images that you will enjoy for years.
