Winter Wedding shoot

Earlier this week, I was privileged to spend a day with the immensely talented photographer Brett Harkness. Brett is one of the best wedding photographers in the UK, and I was delighted to spend a full day learning about how he and his wife Kristie tackle the lack of daylight (and bad weather) issues that many photographers struggle with during the winter months.

Here are my favourite shots from the day……..

Fireworks & Bonfires

In any profession, it’s important to keep learning and trying new things to ensure that you continue to grow professionally, photography is no exception.

Last night, when we took the kids out to see the bonfire and fireworks, I decided to take my camera along to improve my technique for photographing in very low light. It was fun and I learnt a lot about shooting in near darkness without a flash. Here are some of my favourite shots…..
